Test Manager

Test Manager | Hertfordshire & London & Remote | up to circa £65,000
 

BASICS:

As the Test Manager you will plan testing activities efficiently and effectively, implement the test phases, identify key challenges and proactively draw mitigation plans, whilst making sure quality assurance and processes defined are met and successfully delivered.
 
In this role you can define the test strategy and end-to-end test plan, including the testing phases and team resourcing, including all activities related to test planning and testing life cycle. 

Working with the with the Environments Manager you will ensure that the team has all the necessary resources and tooling to execute the testing activities and co-ordinate the availability of the test environment(s); set up test management tools to manage testing artifacts and for defect management and manage and track requirement’s traceability matrix (ensuring all testing is mapped to requirements, solution designs & To Be processes).

Test Managers who can proactively identify risks and issues and identify mitigation steps, monitor and report on test execution status – ensuring defects are raised for failed tests and ensuring planned testing activities are on target; tests are executed effectively, and the results documented appropriately are like to receive an immediate interview request.
 

PRE-REQUISITES:

If you can prepare regular status report(s) of testing activities – liaise with programme managers on progress and impact, ensure completeness of test regimes, create test closure reports ensuring entry/exit criteria have been met through the testing life cycle and manage the defect log and liaise with development team(s) on remediation and release schedules, you will be sought after.

We are looking for an individual to support the test team throughout test environment(s) set-up, test script development and testing operations, with a proven test management background in delivering ERP projects. 
 

If you have strong stakeholder management skills and experience in defect management and an ability to understand business goals to make sure test strategy is aligned, we’d like to hear from you.

TECHNICAL:

Automation Testing knowledge is important, so too is experience in planning and executing non-functional testing phases and a certification in ISTQB and/or Agile Scrum Master would be good, although neither are mandatory.

Having some experience in Business Central or another Microsoft ERP solution and a proficiency in preparing test strategy and plans for different phases  will hold you in good stead.

Proficiency in defect management and prioritisation of issues being logged, with good knowledge in interfaces testing (API/Webservices testing) and automation experience with a good understating of Azure technology and fundamental concepts is vital.

Strong proven experience in planning & conducting end to end, cross functional, UAT, system integration, regression testing with functional leads is important.
 

CONCLUSION:

We are looking for individuals with strong experience in conducting testing workshops involving large number of business users, with an ability to teach and guide business users and test testing concepts on how to write test cases positive and negative – and train the business user community to execute tests planned and log defects as required. 
 

Experience in working with external teams and in implementing test execution phases involving business stakeholders with a good technical understanding is what we are looking for.
