Technical Operations Engineer | Leeds | FTC | £35,000 – £40,000
Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently looking for a Technical Operations Engineer to join a leading Global IT company on a 9 month FTC.
You’ll work in the Operational Team and be responsible for keeping the company’s infrastructure up and running to include server patching and monitoring.
THE BASICS:
You’ll be responsible for proactive monitoring, maintenance, patching, administration and backup of the Technology Centre’s solutions (excluding networking).
Proactive infrastructure monitoring (with SCOM, Opsview and Zabbix) and backup supervision and monitoring (with CommVault, DPM and VEEAM) across all customer estates
Vulnerability management across all internal and customer estates
Proactive maintenance of all solutions, across all customer estates, post-implementation
Site visits to data centre and customer premises as necessary
KEY SKILLS:
You need to have worked in sizeable IT Infrastructures with multiple site & relatively big user base
Minimum 3 years’ experience providing IT support or administration services, with at least 2 years at a similar level
Experience in administrating an enterprise environment…
- Windows Server based systems including DNS, DHCP, IIS, NPS, RDS, DFS, Hyper-V
- Active Directory with multiple forests and forests with multiple domains
- Cloud platforms (i.e. Azure / AWS)
- VMware / Hyper-V and similar virtualisation technologies
- Microsoft Application Servers (i.e. Exchange, Lync, SharePoint SQL Server)
- Resilient systems, both locally and geographically
- Monitoring and deployment tools
- Patching and maintenance of enterprise systems and appliances
- AD Resource Forest models
- Enterprise grade server and storage hardware
- PKI
- Proxying (Forward and Reverse)
- Disaster recovery technologies/ methodologies
- Networking principles
