Technical Architect | Storage & Backup | UK wide | Up to £50,000
As Technical Architect you will join a Global company to help deliver transformative digital work for high profile clients.
As SAN Technical Architect you will work in a dynamic and challenging environment and have a pedigree of networking excellence. You will be working with high profile public and commercial clients, improving systems that make the everyday easier.
Ideally, you will hold UK Security Clearance | SC Clearance, but if you are eligible, please apply.
This role requires some travel, usually 1-2 days per week travelling to office or client site.
THE BASICS:
You will be part of a team that designs and delivers Storage and Backup environments for new clients, and technology refreshes of existing clients. If you are a self-starter with experience of multiple storage, backup, and fibre channel switch platforms we would like to hear from you.
You will be required to work on own initiative and under guidance from senior team members, while dealing with multiple Project Managers, Design Authorities, and other technical streams. You will prioritise your own work to achieve successful deliveries by working remotely from home, or customers’ sites, as required.
KEY SKILLS:
Writing low-level designs and peer-reviewing colleagues’ designs
Identify and assess technical issues and risks
Configuration of specific hardware requiring a datacentre presence
Provide documentation and information to transition support to BAU teams
Ability to plan and follow detailed implementation plans
Knowledge transfer and mentoring of junior colleagues
Broad range of storage platform experience
Implementation experience of multiple backup platforms
Brocade switch configuration, Fibre Patching, Data Centre migration
Experience in some or all of the below:
