Systems Developer | Surrey | £45,000 – £60,000

Our newest client, a global technology solutions and IT service provider, based in Surrey is currently looking for an IT Systems Developer.

THE BASICS:

As Systems Developer you should be technically competent with experience of working in an Internal IT team, supporting a user community across the UK, and West Europe. The services you’ll provide include;

  • Systems Management
  • Software Development
  • Application Administration & Support
  • 2nd Line Support

The ideal candidate will be a multi-talented Systems Developer focused on cross-supporting colleagues in the other regions and contributing to delivery of a high level of customer service and satisfaction.

THE TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Essential;

  • Ability to administer and code with ServiceNow
  • Strong SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) skill in creating complex reports
  • Experience using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) to create data integration projects and good understanding of ETL (Export, Transform, Load)
  • Strong T-SQL, Stored Procedure and Trigger development skill
  • Experience installing, maintaining and upgrading SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008 R2 and 2012

Desirable;

  • Experience troubleshooting SQL Server performance issues and good understanding of performance tuning
  • Experience using BIDS (Business Intelligence Development Studio) and SSDT (SQL Server Data Tools)

Knowledge;

-Servers;

Windows Server; Exchange

-Software;

MS SQL Server 2000, VB.Net, ASP, ASP.Net, C#.Net, Javascript, UI/UX development using HTML & CSS

-Development;

Create integrations with other business management systems using APIs, web-services, import tables

Workflow Development

THE OTHER REQUESITIES:

We are looking for someone who can fully participate in the design, build, testing, deployment and support of applications, whilst ensuring that all software used complies to company standards and approved working practises including security, business process, documentation and archiving.

If you can provide user support to the technical administrators, assist management and users in applying the “best practises” : whilst gathering, reviewing and clarifying business requirements and use-cases with stakeholders and end users we’d like to hear from you TODAY.

Individuals who can provide technical input on the capabilities of the internal applications and insights on the preferred/best practice way to implement solutions; contribute to solution design and implementation plans working closely with other team members will be sought after.
