Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently working with a growing and talented, award-winning software and content provider based in the heart of Birmingham.
As the Software Developer, you’ll join a talented team of like-minded individuals working with the latest cutting-edge technology with exposure to large-scale cloud-hosted applications.
THE BASICS:
Developers & Engineers with strong commercial development experience in C++ or similar, familiarity with distributed systems and continuous integration/delivery and PHP scripting will be sought after.
You will work as part of a team on a large-scale application that supports services in use by major global media companies along with being responsible for the full development lifecycle, from design prototype through to development, testing and deployment.
THE TECHNICAL STUFF:
As the Software Engineer, you’ll have strong commercial software development experience around object-oriented concepts; and familiar with software configuration management (SCM) concepts and version control systems, especially Git, UNIX/LINUX Systems (including shell scripting). Any experience with automated testing best practices with Continuous Integration/Delivery will also hold you in good stead.
You’ll also be working closely with other team members in an agile environment, sharing knowledge and delivering to rapid timescales in a dynamic environment.
THE DESIRABLES
Any experience with Image/Video processing techniques and libraries (especially OpenCV) along with AWS cloud services (including ECS, EC2, CloudWatch, RDS, Lambda, S3), Docker or Embedded C will likely result in an immediate interview request.
