Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are working on an exciting opportunity for experienced Service Desk Engineers to join a dynamic and fast paced organisation, during a period of exciting change. You will be responsible for providing remote support, using excellent communication skills and problem diagnoses in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical



Salary bandings are as follows:

1st Line : up to £27,500

2nd Line : up £31,000

In order to be considered for either role, you must have strong customer facing skills. The 1st line job opportunity requires you to be the first point of contact for customers and the 2nd line (in addition) requires a good knowledge of Azure/O365, coupled with experience of networking principles : TCIP/IP.


As Service Desk Engineer you will assure regular and timely responses based on customer SLAs; build partnerships with users by regularly demonstrating expertise and professionalism, and work with internal and external resources to resolve issues quickly. If you can monitor, update, escalate and close tickets assigned to your personal queue and provide detailed technical troubleshooting notes, whilst processing overflow calls during periods of high demand you are likely to receive an immediate interview request.


If you have worked in a similar role (ideally for an MSP or customer-centric environment) and are able to determine probable cause(s) : logically taking the user through a step-by-step problem determination procedure either in person, over the telephone or IM chat we would like to hear from you.

Experience working with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, and demonstrable experience with the following technologies will be vital; Microsoft Windows Desktop/Server Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite 2013/2016, Exchange, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, Active Directory, Office 365, SharePoint, VMWare vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix, SQL Server, SolarWinds, Microsoft SCCM, Intune & Azure.

Engineers with an understanding of TCP/IP networking, and of ITIL workflows will be desirable.

Ensuring integrity of data and systems and demonstrating the ability to prioritise and meet required deadlines is important, so too is excellent verbal and written communication skills.


If you hold MCSA and/or MCSE and/or a qualification in ITIL and an understanding of ISO 27001 principles, you will be highly desired by our client.
