Sales Manager | £60,000 + OTE (£120,000) | Nr Guildford
Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently looking for a seasoned Sales Manager to join one of our key clients; a managed cloud, infrastructure and IT consultancy provider based in Surrey.
The ideal candidate will provide hands-on technical consultancy to our client and their UK client base, assisting with defining and planning technical strategy, standards and their future services roadmap.
This role is office-based. Customer, supplier and other business development visits will be expected to be undertaken as needed : with occasional home-working acceptable.
THE BASICS:
Whilst reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing, you will ensure that sales targets are achieved, whilst managing staff and activities within the Sales Team, providing coaching, mentoring & guidance. Sales Managers who can provide input into marketing activities, provide up to date and accurate information and clear reports on sales activities and offer up-to-date and accurate opportunity, revenue and profit forecasts to assist with business planning will be of interest.
Managing and co-ordinating major bids and tender responses, relationships with vendors and other partners to identify and develop commercial opportunities as well as new vendor and partner relationships will make up part of your exciting role.
THE TEAM:
Your direct reports: currently stand at 7, with plans to grow. Your current team includes 4 New Business Sales Executives, 1 Customer Account Manager & 2 Pre-Sales Consultants.
THE EXPERIENCE:
If you have several years of new business sales experience selling solutions and managed services to mid-market, enterprise and public sector clients and sales management experience managing vendor/VAR/MSP/Cloud services we’d like to hear from you TODAY.
Managers with proven experience of selling and managing sales of the following:
–Managed IT Services
-Infrastructure and Cloud strategy consulting
-Technical consultancy
-Server and desktop virtualisation
–Hyper-Converged infrastructure
-Server, data storage, management and backup technologies
-Data networking (LAN, WAN, WLAN)
–Information security tools and technologies
-Network, systems and security monitoring and management
–MS Azure, IaaS and PaaS subscriptions, environment design, service migration and management/added services
-Core Microsoft on premise and cloud products including Microsoft 365 E3/E5 suite
-Proven track record of winning business through RFI/RFP processes and tender responses
THE DESIRABLES:
Sales experience selling environment design, configuration, service migration and management for other public cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud or similar and/or unified communications technologies (notably Skype for Business) will be of interest.
Any exposure to Microsoft SQL, Exchange and Systems Centre products and any Information Governance, Risk and Compliance will result in an immediate interview request : so too will any experience around bidding for and winning places on Public Sector Frameworks.
