Sales Account Manager

Sales Account Manager | Northampton and/or London | circa 33k basic + OTE

Our client, an IT Service & Technology Solutions Provider is looking for a Sales Account Manager to sell their software & hardware solution and services.

If you have at least 4 years’ experience with proven client relationship experience and a solid understanding of the IT industry (to include: Cloud, Cyber Security, Unified Communications, Data Storage, IT Support, Infrastructure & Managed Services) then please APPLY TODAY.

We are looking for individuals with:

1. Solid work history (i.e. at least 2 years spent with your recent employers)

2. VAR work history, or at the very least a clear understanding of the reseller market/industry

3. A proven, demonstrable and evidenced track record of hitting and exceeding sales targets

4. the means to commute to either Northampton or Central London


The basic starting salary will be circa £33,000 progressing to £45,000 and then £55,000 based on achieving specific targets : against a flat, uncapped 15% commission structure.

The achievable total earning sits at £70,000 as a Senior Sales Account Manager, progressing to £100,000 as an Account Director.


As Sales Account Manager, you will be able to join our client at either their London office, or their Northampton office. (There is also the potential for some flexible working).

Initial training will take place in Northampton.


We are looking for Account Managers who can promote software solutions to businesses, and generate new business from lead generation to close, attend meetings with clients to give product demonstrations and sales presentations, whilst developing excellent relationships, with an ability to lead in the tender pitch from proposal through to completion.

If you have excellent written and verbal communications skills, if you can deliver against pre-determined targets and if you can maintain concise activity reports, this job opportunity could be for you.


As the Account Manager you must have Business Development sales experience with a solid understanding of the sales process, key sales skills and pipeline management. Any individual with experience of dealing with and building extensive relationships with clients at a senior level, coupled with a proven track record of solution selling with a ‘can-do’ attitude will be sought after.
