Purchasing Manager | Home Based | up to £71,000 + discretionary bonus
Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are working with a registered charity with a focus on social and healthcare services, operating facilities across the UK. This is a home-based role, with some travel to all operational sites in the North and West of the UK from time to time. Due to the home-based nature of this role – whether you live in Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Cardiff, Norwich or London – this job role can be for you.
You will report to the Head of Finance; whilst maintaining a line of communication with a team of support staff.
THE BASICS:
As Group Purchasing Manager you will take the lead on core procurement initiatives; presenting efficiency outcomes, whilst managing and supporting stakeholders in developing and sustaining new cost efficiency projects. If you can actively support and encourage personal development when it comes to ‘Best Practice’ – remaining competitive through positive utilisation of central contracts to cover all goods and services for a designated portfolio to ensure full use of leverage and added value, we’d like to hear from you today.
We are looking for someone to support the review of purchase order requests, whilst leading the review of service level agreements and stock/consumable pricing. If you can provide procurement best practice in relation to day-to-day activities and designated projects, ensuring attainment of an annual savings targets you will be of interest.
THE KEY SKILLS:
If you are MCIPS qualified (or working towards it), coupled with good knowledge of purchasing practices as well as project management, negotiation, contract management, cost and price management, this could be the right role for you.
The ability to influence and manage commercial opportunities, whilst forging effective professional relationships is vitally important, so if you have an experience of how to manage existing contracts and contract performance – producing reports, negotiating with vendors; aiding implementation of cost reduction schemes in accordance with annual plans and strategic aims, whilst continuously evaluating supplier competency to see who is complying to SLA’s, contracts and/or PO deadlines you are likely to receive an immediate interview request.

This is a 2-stage process.
Skype Interview : ideally this will take place as soon as 23rd, 27th, 30th or 31st December 2019.
Face to face interview : ideally this will take place w/c 6th January 2020.
