Network Engineer

Network Engineer | circa £45,000 | South East & Home Based

Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are working with a global, multi-disciplinary, full-service provider, based North of London in Hertfordshire as they seek the services of a Network Engineer to support our client’s network infrastructure.

You will need to go through SC Clearance for this role, so please only apply if you can confirm:

·         You have lived in the UK for the last 5 years

·         You have NOT left the UK for more than 28 days consecutively in the last 5 years

As the Network Engineer, you will be required to perform daily tasks including, but not limited to, security monitoring, health checks, routine maintenance, review releases / patching on networking infrastructure.

THE BASICS:

Network Engineers with a strong understanding of network infrastructure and architecture should apply today.

If you’re able to work well individually or as part of a team without regular direction and supervision along with experience of meeting deadlines and delivering information in a timely fashion and good knowledge of IT best practice, then this could be the job for you.

THE TECHNICAL STUFF:

Network Engineers who have hands on experience of Cisco, Juniper or other firewall technologies will be highly sought after, so too will Engineers with configuration experience along with deployment and support skills surrounding Routers, Firewalls, Switches.

If you have demonstrable knowledge and experience with communication technologies and protocols including WAN, VPN, email & SMTP, SFTP/FTPS and enterprise file transfer solutions, get in touch today.

If you’re a Network Engineer with knowledge of common Enterprise Operating Systems such as; Windows, Linux (Debian, Red Hat, Ubuntu etc.) along with an understanding of cloud based technologies, e.g. AWS, Azure, SoftLayer you’ll be highly sought after.

THE ADDITIONALS:

If you have a good understanding of Platform Services, e.g. DNS, DNCP, NTP, AAA, LDAP, IAM as well as having knowledge of datacentre cabling requirements, rack configuration, security and monitoring, this will likely result in an immediate interview request.
