Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are working with one of it’s newest clients; a dynamic and forward-thinking IT solution provider who are now looking for an ambitious 2nd Line Network Engineer to join their growing team.

As IT Support Engineer you will report to the Technical Director, as well as providing comprehensive support across the business.

We are looking for a Network / IT Support Engineer with a couple of years of previous experience on a Helpdesk or as a Site Engineer with Helpdesk, Server, Desktop and Exchange experience to join an expanding company, based in Kent. The right candidate should live within a 20 mile radius of M20/M26.

THE KEY SKILLS:

If you can demonstrate a solid level of knowledge around workstation support (common troubleshooting), server networking (DHCP, DNS, RRAS, TCP/IP), firewalling (common port numbers, routing, network fault diagnosis), remote working (RRAS, VPN, RDP), user support (account unlocks, account creation, password changes), exchange / O365 (mailbox creation, distribution groups) and printer support (network printing, common troubleshooting), then we’d like to hear from you today.

Other valuable experience around SharePoint, server hosting (specifically VMware & Hyper-V) and Cisco IOS would be advantageous.

THE DETAILS:

As the IT Support Engineer you will be working as part of a dedicated team of Engineers; expected to work through helpdesk tickets and have the opportunity to go out on site and visit clients. The team that you’ll be joining is efficient and friendly as it deals with all kinds of support issues generated by our clients’ customer base.  Your time will be equally split in and out of the office, so you will need to thrive on multi-tasking whilst completing tasks like: installing servers, replacing workstations, resolving OS faults as well as identifying and resolving network connectivity issues.

You will be given responsibility for your own projects where you will be expected to manage every technical aspect, primarily using the products and services within an established portfolio to recognise new business opportunities and then escalate them into new sales.

This role includes making suggestions to the client concerning future improvements in line with their individual business needs.
