IT Engineer | London | circa £45,000
We’re looking for a highly capable 2nd / 3rd line Engineer to join our newest client; an IT Service Provider and their expert team, based in East London.
THE BASICS:
This is a new and exciting role for someone to help to take the lead on many of the processes, projects and migrations as well as offer a point of escalation for the helpdesk.
If you have solid IT experience and if you like working with people coupled with a passion for solving problems in a varied role then please be in touch. Supporting and developing processes across a range of different desktop systems; and utilizing Cloud/Azure-based environments will make up part of your role. You’ll also gain lots of exposure to different systems and have an opportunity to focus on things that you’re passionate about.
THE TECHNICAL STUFF:
Engineers with good customer service skills, excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude will be of interest. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with an attention to detail, and extensive desktop experience will also be sought after.
Experience with networks and firewalls will be a big advantage, and hands on demonstrable experience around Exchange 2007 : 2016, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 : 2012 / 2016 and Microsoft Windows 7 : 10 operating systems will likely result in an immediate interview request.
Exposure to Azure & Office 365 & GSuite migrations & deployments and an ability to troubleshoot, manage and deploy Hyper-V or VMWare will hold you in good stead.
A technical understanding of deploying Microsoft technologies especially support for on-premise server environments; implementing systems, building infrastructure, solving problems and a strong background in supporting users/clients and systems through remote and on-site support is what we are looking for.
THE NICE TO HAVES:
If you have experience with Cisco firewalls and other networking equipment and / or any experience migrating systems to the Cloud (Office 365 & Google); VPN / remote users / site to site support we’d like to hear from you TODAY.
