Infrastructure Project Manager | Remote | £500/day

This is a fantastic contract job opportunity for someone looking to be responsible for the delivery, management and oversight of the following IT projects or work packages.

Servers Upgrade.

Citrix Upgrade.

Site Connectivity.

MDM for Laptops & Mobile.

This includes the end-to-end management of scoping initiatives and taking technical deliverables through execution and handover to service.

THE BASICS:

Infrastructure Project Managers who can manage the delivery of projects, including the provision of third parties as part of the overall production line, whilst being accountable for the delivery (of projects); establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all stakeholders and vendors – organising and running workshops / 1-to-1 meetings with senior stakeholders, should apply today.

If you can understand high-level technical architecture, drive decisions on appropriate solutions, control the governance of project(s), whilst taking responsibility for the project administration and the production of project management documentation, e.g. project plans, financial plans, resource planning, status reports, steering packs, briefing packs, we’d like to hear from you.

Project Managers who can track progress against milestones, deadlines, and budgets, anticipate, manage, and resolve issues; use best practice risk management, assess risks in an informed and considered manner and are able to communicate technical project updates in an easy-to-understand language are likely to receive an immediate interview request.

THE DETAILS:

If you have a track record of delivering IT projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment, to support multiple business projects, coupled with experience of successfully engaging management and groups of technical and non-technical stakeholders, experience of managing 3rd parties in delivery, experience in the delivery of waterfall IT projects to include:

infrastructure delivery with technical teams

security technologies

application/software upgrades with a basic understanding of the SDLC

THE CONCLUSION:

This 6-month contract Infrastructure Project Manager position will suit someone with strong management skills including project management, financial management and facilitation. Someone with an appreciation of PMO processes and experience of working in a commercial delivery environment, (like a services company) will enjoy this role.

The company HQ is based in the Midlands, but you will not be required to travel. However, for the first 2 weeks, you may need to spend 1 day in the office, meeting stakeholders.
