Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are working with a key client; an IT Services & Solutions Provider as they look to appoint an Infrastructure Engineer to join its Managed Services division, providing support and delivering service improvements to an array of established customers.

THE BASICS:
As Infrastructure Engineer you will report to the Engineering Team Leader, working as part of a busy team, providing expert technical support to our client and their customers, maintaining IT systems and infrastructure environments to agreed service levels.
Engineers who can provide reactive support and proactive maintenance for both customer and internal Private Cloud infrastructure environments, whilst providing proactive systems administration of Desktop, Server, Storage & Network infrastructure will be sought after.
In this job role, you will be a member of an on-call group providing 24/7/365 support & attendance to weekly CAB meetings where necessary, coupled with a solid understanding and reporting of all security threats, whilst providing root cause analysis of major or recurring incidents.
THE TECHNICAL STUFF:
Engineers with at least one certification or technical qualification from Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, Juniper or VMWare will be of interest, and if you are either ITIL certified, or carry a certification and/or equivalent experience of IAAS, PAAS, DAAS and Cloud service offerings (Azure & AWS) delivering best-practise support, you are likely to receive an immediate interview request.
If you also have experience in an IT Operations role within a client facing commercial organisation, with a good understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, ICMP, DHCP, DNS), coupled with experience of supporting data centre environments; managing and supporting:
-Virtualisation and Clustering (Hyper-V / SCVMM)
-Server Roles (Active Directory, DFS, NPS)
-Storage (SAN / CSV)
-ITSM suites (ServiceNow, Remedy, Jira) and ERP systems;

THE DESIRABLES:
Any experience with monitoring solutions experience (SolarWinds), Public Cloud (Azure/AWS), Azure AD Modern Authentication (MFA), Scripting (PowerShell) and/or InTune will be of significant interest to our client.
Working Knowledge of: System Centre; (SCOM, SCSM, SCCM), Skype for Business,
Office 365, Citrix and/or Linux will also be very favourable.
THE CONCLUSION:
We are looking for 2 experienced Infrastructure Engineers with a hands-on, pro-active approach, with sound documentation and presentation skills – competent in analysing data and reporting trends; ideally having worked within an ITIL aligned environment.
Your troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and your demonstrable ability to plan, coordinate and deliver technical requests within strict timeframes – managing escalation of incidents within defined SLAs/KPIs is what our client will be looking for.
