BASICS:
As the Head of PMO, you will own and co-ordinate the central portfolio / programme management office function and develop governance processes, to guide and control projects, ensuring gate criteria are applied.
If you can manage and report on the portfolio plan with milestones, whilst feeding in project level information provided by Project and Programme Managers, and take responsibility for setting up a PMO framework based on ITIL we'd like to hear from you.
Additionally, your role will include taking oversight of the portfolio-level finances, leading on continuous improvement of portfolio governance and building comprehensive and meaningful reports and dashboards. Leaders who can assist the portfolio-wide resource and demand planning and forecasting and manage a pool of resources including project managers, business analysts, developers, business change leads and trainers are likely to receive an immediate interview request.
KEY TASKS:
This job role will give you the opportunity to assume overall responsibility for the management and delivery of all projects and programmes; work with stakeholders and partners to identify and plan agreed programmes of work; have responsibility for the management of all projects and programme risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions – all whilst ensuring strategies and corrective actions are implemented to mitigate risks and resolve issues.
Key to the role will be establishing programme and project budgets as part of the production of business casesand working with technical experts and strategic technology partners to identify opportunities for innovation and creating great experiences. Identifying, validating, and shaping the demand for digital products and developing effective insight into the stakeholder world, so that business partners/digital leads can undertake effective customer advocacy is also important.
