BASICS:
As the new Head of IT Strategy, you will lead the team directly looking after the architecture of our client partner’s extensive application estate, manage the design and architecture demand, ensuring that artefacts and design standards are delivered to time and to quality and work in conjunction with wider business stakeholders to deliver business value from our client-partner’s IT systems, whilst ensuring systems and data are secure.
If you can do this and oversee the improvement of architecture and design capabilities, focusing on coaching, adoption of best practices, and sharing knowledge, you are likely to receive an immediate interview request.
PRE-REQUISITES:
We are looking for someone to lead a team of senior and highly experienced architects, work closely with the IT leadership team, ensure effective support of business and technical change, and support the evolution of architectural designs through delivery.
Leaders who can oversee adherence to the architecture strategy, support long-term sustainable development and represent and actively participate in IT governance and Architecture communities will be of interest.
If you can research, create, communicate, and maintain IT product and supplier roadmaps considering market and IT developments that are designed to deliver long-term business requirements, we’d like to hear from you. If you can reduce IT risk and maximise re-use and efficiencies, as well as develop, agree, control, maintain and govern effective delivery of IT architectural solution blueprints (both internally and externally produced), incorporating IT operating model, technology, applications, information, and service, in accordance with agreed standards and criteria, we’d also like to hear from you.
Individuals who can analyse emerging technology, market trends, and their potential impacts on the application platform and technology architecture and champion the technology roadmap across the business through roadshows and presentations should apply today.
ABOUT YOU:
If you have a background in Solution or Enterprise Architecture – it's likely you will have great skills in Application / Integration Architecture with an awareness of Infrastructure and Service and this could be the ideal role for you.
Experience of working with modern workplace technologies (Data Models, Azure, BI, COTSproducts) and/or any Architecture related qualifications such as Togaf, Archimateor Zachman would be helpful.
This role will also require strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
Working closely with the wider Architecture and technology community will be a huge part of your role, and actively discussing and presenting technical findings to senior stakeholders from numerous departments, whilst influencing the decision making and collaborative working within the team with the aim of improving architecture capability, promoting best practise, and delivering a technology strategy are all vital elements of this job role.
