Director of Device Lifecycle Management | UK wide | circa 75k
As Director you’ll have a direct line to the VP for Consulting Services and primarily be responsible for the day to day running of the service and line management of Operations Managers and Technical Architects, ensuring the existing service is delivered well. For this role and department, our client-partner provides Desktop Support to multiple clients, with 60+ staff, supporting hundreds of thousands of devices.
You would also take responsibility for responding to Bid Teams proposing solutions in relation to RFI’s for new business and the transitioning in of and transformation of acquired contracts. You will be required to oversee the incorporation of staff under TUPE regulations ensuring a smooth transition too.
The DLM (Device Lifecycle Management) service offering comprises of 3 key elements:
- DLM BAU – Build Imaging, Build Updates, Patch Deployment and ongoing configuration of End User Device settings.
- MDM (Mobile Device Management) – Management of Mobile Devices.
- EUC – Deskside Support of End User Devices including Physical Deployment, Break Fix and Disposal of End User Devices.
KEY OBJECTIVES:
If you can oversee the delivery of full lifecycle services for laptops, desktop and, tablets to meet client SLAs and KPIs and manage remote support and on site engineers including on-site tech bars; delivering automation in order to improve efficiencies within the team, we’d like to hear from you.
Preparing monthly performance and status reports for review with the Vice President and developing and maintaining a succession and knowledge transfer plan for the team, including managing staff development and training and improving member satisfaction scores is important.
The ideal candidate will own and manage the cost base for the service, and be responsible for resourcing and recruitment in this team, as well as managing and monitoring third party providers of services (desktop support, software and hardware maintainers, intelligent hands service).
Developing and obtaining commitment to Service Level Agreements with Third Party Service providers and negotiating with, and procuring, efficient, and effective Third Party services to deliver value–added services to our customers will also be part of your remit.
COMPETENCIES:
If you have an in depth understanding and experience of delivering modernised End User Device support solutions, previous experience of managing a DLM/ EUC team, experience of staff and financial /budgetary management and knowledge of ITIL v3, you are likely to receive an immediate interview request.
You must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Security Check (SC) level.
DESIRABLES:
Experience of standing up EUC Solutions, of managing 3rd party Suppliers / Vendors and of incorporating Staff under TUPE regulations will be desirable.
