1st Stage Virtual Interviews: 7th – 11th December @ 15.00hrs.
Coding Exercise Reviewing: 4th December onwards.
If this timeline works for you, please get in touch with a member of the team ASAP.
THE BASICS:
As the Lead Developer, you will be given the opportunity to take responsibility for designing applications and delivering software engineering solutions for a range of in-house products and software engineering services to external clients. Dealing with complex problems and ensuring that products and services thoroughly consider customer needs is also and exciting and pivotal part of your activity.
THE SKILLS:
Java & a good formal understanding for Javascript, will be of interest to our partner. In addition, if you have ample working knowledge or exposure to: Spring Boot, Data, MVC, Security, MySQL, Docker or Kubernetes you will be given the platform and the tools to deliver great results.
Demonstrable hands on working knowledge of Cloud (AWS/Azure) will also be a bonus.
If you have any experience with online payments/card payment flow, compliance & PCI DSS that would be a bonus, but not a pre-requisite.
THE LEADERSHIP:
You will really enjoy this role if you have led a small team of other developers, QAs and/or researchers before. Being the ‘go to’ person, whilst being able to fully immerse yourself and project-manage deliverables, will hold you in good stead. Offering technical expertise and being part of the design solution is exactly what you will enjoy from being in this role.
THE CODING:
We are looking for a good coder, but you don’t have to be ‘coder of the year’ – we are much more interested in individuals with a solid all round understanding of software technology, with excellent communication and client facing skills. If you have a comprehensive understanding of design patterns and architecture, then this job opportunity should be for you.
THE LOCATION:
You will be working from home but meeting with the rest of the team to ‘brainstorm’ and share thoughts and ideas collectively, will be an important part of this role too. You may only be required to go into London Central once per month, however, in the future, if there are customer-facing responsibilities with a particular project or programme of work, then a journey into London – two, or three times a week could be the case also.
THE CONCLUSION:
This is a great job opportunity for a comprehensive coder, an ambitious developer, and a leader with solid communication skills – to join a small, collaborative team that works within a horizontal structure. Your voice on ideas, innovation for product improvements and enhancements will always be heard. If you have the skills to review, challenge and adjust performance levels to ensure quality outcomes are delivered on time and clarify strategies and plans; giving a clear sense of direction and purpose, personally and for the wider team – you are likely to receive an immediate interview request.
