Data Project Manager

Data Project Manager | Remote | £500/day

This is a fantastic contract job opportunity for someone looking to lead and manage a Data Quality and Data Cleansing project.

This critical role will involve overseeing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring the successful delivery of the project and that the project is completed on time, within budget, and meets quality standards.

QUALITY & CLEANSING:
 

As the Data Project Manager, you will analyse and profile the existing data to identify data quality issues, such as missing values, inconsistencies, duplicates, and outliers. You will also assess the overall data quality; determine the extent of data cleansing required, design and implement a data quality framework and develop and implement data cleansing procedures.

Collaborating with data owners and subject matter experts to improve data quality and cleansing processes, whilst applying data enrichment techniques to fill in missing data or enhance existing data will be important too.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT:

If you can establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including data owners, business users, and IT teams, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse data requirements, you will be of interest.

LEADERSHIP:

If you can also lead and motivate a project team, including data analysts, data engineers, and other project resources, whilst fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment, you are likely to receive an immediate interview request.

REPORTING:

Project Managers who can prepare and maintain project documentation, including project charters, project plans, risk registers, and status reports; generate project performance reports and drive continuous improvement in future projects will enjoy this role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g.Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration) or equivalent work experience would be helpful.

OTHER SKILLS:

Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in data-related projects, with a strong focus on data quality and data cleansing and a solid understanding of data management principles, data governance, and data quality frameworks, with a familiarity with data cleansing tools, data profiling, and data validation techniques.

Also, if you have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; coupled with an analytical mindset and problem-solving skills to identify data quality issues and develop appropriate solutions, we want to hear from you.

THE CONCLUSION:

This 6-month contract Data Project Manager position will suit someone with strong management skills including previous experience in a data cleansing role.

The company HQ is based in the Midlands, but you will not be required to travel. However, for the first 2 weeks, you may need to spend 1 day in the office, meeting stakeholders.
