2nd Line Support Engineer | Telford | Up to £27,000

Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently looking for an experienced Service Desk Engineer | 2nd Line Support, who is keen to advance their career within the IT support industry.

THE BASICS:

As 2nd Line Support Engineer you will join a dynamic and technically focused team. If you’re passionate about technology, good at problem solving, with excellent communication skills then we would like to hear from you.

THE TECHNICAL STUFF:

You’ll have experience working on a service desk in a 2nd Line Support role

You will have a good understanding of PC/Laptop hardware

Windows 9 and 10 OS, Windows 2008/2012/2016 Server administration, basic configuration and troubleshooting

Active directory administration and configuration to include group policy

Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013/2016 and Office 365

Remote support of users in a Citrix environment

Knowledge of network and router/firewall remote troubleshooting and configuration, with experience of networking to include TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP

Datacentres and virtualisation (VMWare & Hyper-V) an advantage

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

As 2nd Line Support you will actively manage and maintain a list of calls escalated from the 1st line team, including updating calls, investigative work and keeping customers up to date

Performing maintenance and technical tasks as required such as computer and laptop builds and diagnosis of problems
