1st Line Technical Support Analyst | Southampton | circa £20,000 | Multiple Positions

Jonothan Bosworth Recruitment Specialists are currently looking for 1st Line Technical Support analysts to join a fantastic company based in Southampton. This is a great opportunity to join a well established software company who provide some of the world’s leading retailers with financial solutions.

THE BASICS:

As Technical Support Analyst you will act as first point of contact for all calls making sure issues are logged both by email and telephone, diagnosing issues, resolving where possible and escalating to the relevant teams when required.

Technical Support Analysts will provide software support using Remote Control/Access systems as well as assist with the Implementation of new software, hardware releases and adhoc rollouts as part of a team, ensuring that procedures are followed and installations double checked at all times.

You will be expected to represent the company in a professional manner when discussing issues with the customers and in some cases third party companies ensuring you leave them confident in your ability to provide the support required.

KEY SKILLS:

A solid understanding of Windows operating systems ranging from 2000 up to Windows 7/10 coupled with knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience of Network Infrastructure is important.

We are also looking for individuals with experience of either Borland or SQL. Knowledge of both will be highly beneficial.

Our client is looking for technical support analysts with excellent customer service skills coupled with solid timekeeping, adaptable to take on new practices and technology and comfortable working in a fast paced environment.

THE DESIRABLE STUFF:

The ideal candidate may have knowledge of software development practices / scripting in either Visual Basic or C#.

Anyone with knowledge of Card Payment Processes or Petrol Forecourt Systems are likely to receive an immediate interview request.

THE SHIFT PATTERN:

The ideal candidates will work a “4 days on 4 days off” shift pattern and comfortable with 2 night shifts a month to assist the 24 hr team.
